Hugo Werner, M-Parts Typeface 2002

In the midst of a crescent worldwide militarization of culture (i.e.. war games, broadcast coverage, military fashion, film industry, etc.), 'M-Parts' is a sarcastic comment about mass-media propaganda. Developed with base in model war toys, the typeface is a 'fake' stencil, in the best dadaist tradition. The series of posters designed to promote 'M-Parts' was selected to participate in the IPT 2003 - Triennal of Poster Design (Japan) and the GoldenBee 6 - International Biennale of Graphic Design 2004 (Russia).

Hugo Werner, Nike Achilles Heel 2000

Social awareness poster based on the polemical incident of labor exploration in Asia by Nike. The title plays with the ancient myth of Achilles’s weak point and the trespassing of ethical values in contemporary society by multinationals in their pursuit for unlimited profit margins.
