In addition to abundant visuals, the book contains an informative foreword and features portraits of selected designers and companies, who are creating outstanding work in these musical fields. Experiments with Letterform and Calligraphy









Artist: André Gürtler
Gürtler is a type designer and typographer that worked for Monotype in England and later in the Deberney and Peignot type foundry in Paris. There, a long-term collaboration with Adrian Frutiger followed. Gürtler has taught the history of types. Calligraphy, foundations of type design and print type design at the School of Design in Basel since 1965. Besides his teaching activity, he is active in the areas of type design for laser printing and computer monitors.
